I'm getting a lot better about not finishing a book just because I started it, this is a perfect example of why. I love mysteries, love serial killers, love anything that's written well and keeps me engaged regardless of how gory it may be - but I don't think I made it past the first chapter before I deleted it from my Kindle. Putting a kidnapped woman in a cage & letting vampire bats nibble at her through the bars was a bit much for me to keep on with it - I've read other books by Willow Rose & liked them, but this one was a definite Thumbs-Down. Life is too short & there are too many good books to read, so I moved on as soon as I realized this particular book wasn't right for me. In fairness, I will say that I'll continue to read Willow Rose - but this one was .... not for me.Product details

Run Run as Fast as You Can Emma Frost Book 3 edition by Willow Rose Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews
I've said it before, will just keep saying it This is one of my favorite authors and I'm devouring her books as quickly as I can. Book #3 in the Emma Frost series starts off scary (as the others). Mothers of young children are being kidnapped and murdered. Emma is dragged into yet another investigation as her best friend is friends of many of these mothers. There is also another strange missing person's case going on in the background too, something extra creepy. If you have a squeamish tummy, you'd better stay away from this book! This book is filled with nonstop action, what this author does so well. I've seen some reviewers saying it's too much of a stretch, but because I like the characters and the basic story so well, I really don't overthink it and I just sit back, read and enjoy. I can't get enough of this queen of screams books!
I read the entire book because it was so, I am sorry, but I have to say ridiculous. A male serial killer, a female serial killer, a stalker, a psycho candidate who is a killer and gets elected to public office. Vampire bats (how the killer got them from South American I don't know), a wife beater, infidelity.
Emma Frost comes upon not one but two murders this time round. The story opens with Simone, a young mother putting her two young children in their car seats after a day of shopping, feeling as though someone is watching her all day, only to be knocked out as she herself was getting into the car. She wakes up in a dark room, by herself, remember her children left in the car by themselves. When she calls out suddenly she is attacked by something biting her that she can't see.
Chapters are short, but than again, the time changes, Emma is doing research on the people disappearing, then and now. Remember her autistic son? He often will say a few words, or a sentence out of context, that has no meaning at the time, but later will lead Emma to an answer to part of the mystery. Make sure to pay attention to what Victor says.
You will meet other new characters to Willow's books - Lisa Rasmussen, running for City Council (she has a huge secret), The women in the Women's Club. Nora, Ellen, and Sophia are all in the Women's club.
Another woman disappears; Susanne, taken the same as Simone, right after putting her son in his car seat. She was put in a small dark box that she was unable to stand up in, when she tried, a wire net set off an alarm, setting off the bats to attack her.
As others mentioned there are two story lines here, two murders, that keep you on your toes and keeps it interesting on how all the characters are intertwined with each other.
Unlimited, although own 9 of the 10 and possibly some of the sets; wondering if should buy 10 so going to read on ku but first going to read 1 NOPE ALL GARBAGE, went through 10 piles of filth and garbage and sewage. Every story has cardboard characters, unbelievable and stupid nonsense situations, and that is IF can understand the broken/bad mangled sentences of 'English'.
This is, by far, one of stupidest things {ALL TEN} have ever read in entire life, and that's thousands of books across every genre. Did person writing this have English skills, because sure doesn't seem that way, and if it was translated that person needs fired, whoever edited this crap as well because there are misspellings, run on sentences, words in weird places, missing words, wrong syntax, pretty much unreadable mess. The switching of perspective in telling this mess is ridiculous. Switching tenses is ridiculously confusing and definitely wrong. When a 'story' is this bad, it makes it worse if that's even possible, when can't tell who is saying what or talking to or about who. This whole piece of junk should have warning label for graphic crap garbage.

I have read several books by Willow Rose. they have been ok, not great but readable. This book was all over the place, hard to follow and full of highly unlikely scenarios Don't waste your time reading this book
